Product Description

We now have our own indoor domestic hot water heat pump available in 80 gallon capacity.  Our model uses R-134A refrigerant known for it's lower operating pressures and higher water temperatures when compared to R-410A based designs more commonly used by competitors.  It can produce water temperatures from 100-140°F with a heating capacity of 7600 BTU plus an additional 1.5 kW of electric backup when necessary.  Includes 2" of high density foam insulation, Magnesium anode and  only requires 120V to operate.  Our larger tank size allows for more showers and baths than most competing models and should suffice for a typical home with 4 occupants.  For customers using our air to water heat pumps you can extend the capacity and increase overall efficiency by bundling this heater with our tank-in-tank domestic hot water pre-heat buffer tank.  Our units are also ideal for multi-residential installations, especially when preheat is used to extend capacity and reduce recovery time.

"Our model was designed with 7600 BTU output compared to only 4200 BTU offered by comparable Rheem models."

It is important to understand that indoor domestic hot water heat pumps are only efficient if the air in the room they are in is heated energy efficiently or using free or waste heat.  For example, if you have a heat pump of any kind heating your home then these tanks are an excellent fit.  If you have a boiler room which is always too hot in winter then once again this is a good place for our tank heater.  During the spring, fall and summer months these heat pump water heaters will provide free cooling and dehumidification to the surrounding area and will run the most efficient of all.  However, if your home uses a conventional boiler or furnace then using an indoor heat pump water heater may not be a good idea since it will only be efficient in spring, summer and fall seasons and not during the winter since it will merely transfer the less efficient heat of your home to the domestic hot water production.
