Programmable Controls

Our PLC Thermostat can be used in any number of HVAC & Hydronic applications and is often an excellent compliment to one of our air to water heat pump installations where 4 pipe or dual tank and DHW preheat are desired.  We have a number of existing programs written which allow the use of these PLSs to control other mechanical room components.  Of course, you can also program them as custom thermostats which gives you the freedon to implement whatever control logic you can come up with when dealing with applications that fall outside of the norm like controlling floor heating / warming along with zoned forced air heating or cooling at different times of the year.  You can also use them to create multi-zone thermostats which can measure air temperature and control zone valves and actuators for up to three zones per thermostat.  Give us a call if you would like to disucss a custom control application you have in mind so that we can help you make it a reality.  We  can not only supply the controls and sensors for your application but offer you remote tutorials on-line and work with you on your program.  If you are technical in nature but don't yet have any PLC programming expierience we can help you get there quicker than you might think.  

Tenant Sub-Metering 

We came up with the idea for our Tenant Sub-Metering Thermostat when building owners asked if we could meter utility use using the same monitoring technology we'd developed for our commercial air to water heat pumps.  We told them that of course we could and the idea was born.  Considering that every unit requires at least one thermostat it only made sense to us to use the same device to keep track of potable cold and hot water, optional electrical consumption and thermal energy use.  Our pragmatic solution uses a network of communicating thermostats connected to a central control panel which is sold separately to not only keep a running total of utility use but to record exactly when it happens so that historical analysis and reporting can be generated by building owners and property management companies.  We can customize the programming to meet any building's unique needs in terms of whether they use floor heating, radiators, fan coils, floor cooling or a combination of them.  We can also customize programming to accommodate a collection of pulse water meters, flow sensors, temperature sensors, pulse BTU meters, current transducers, kilowatt meters, occupancy sensors and window or door contacts.
