DX2W-3-300 4-Pipe 25 Ton Commercial Air to Water Modules

Our Commercial DX2W-3 line is currently available in 10, 20 & 25 Ton Models and has been designed to connect to one or two outdoor Heat Pump units.  Tandem modules are comprised of two single modules bolted together where each outdoor heat pump unit is treated as a separate stage by the controller.  Using a staged approach makes it possible to use one buffer tank for all configurations, thereby greatly reducing the amount of thermal storage and the space it takes in a mechanical room for larger configurations.  Systems can be ordered with or without outdoor heat pumps, buffer tanks and hydronic controls.

Typical installations involve several DX2W-3 modules indoors coupled to the same or double the number of heat pump condensers outside.  Modules can be piped and controlled using our TANDEM controls to act as one two stage system or with our new DUO controls it is now possible to dynamically assign either stage to heating, cooling or domestic hot water production.  

This item is a 4 pipe refrigeration / 4 pipe hydronic configuration designed to connect to two 10-12.5 ton outdoor heat pumps or air conditioners.  Each of the two stages includes bolt-on TXVs, sight glasses, presssure transducers and temperature sensors attached to water inlet & outlet as well as liquid line, all of which are terminated on a terminal strip.  Controls are not included and must be purchased separately.  Desigh flow rate for each stage is 22 GPM or 44 GPM if both stages are connected in parallel.
